Summer Uprise

It looks like summer is finally here to stay. After weeks of speculation and what looked like an extended winter for Marseille, the sun, sparkling water, humidity, skin and hats are out on display for the next three months.

Meanwhile, I am busy performing. If 10 years ago, you'd have told me I am going to be in Marseille in 2013 giving performances, I would have laughed in your face. After this event, I showcased a 5 minute piece last Saturday at an activity centre that was celebrating being in its 50th year. The day after tomorrow, I will put up the same piece at the Tibetan Centre.

And that'll be the end of that! I am waiting for July because it marks the beginning of hosting and entertaining guests! And planning trips with them! I am looking forward to the coming months.

Lately, I have become more aware of what's happening around me. Politically, so to speak. I don't enjoy politics at all and have very little knowledge and can see only what's on the surface. But a few things strike a chord, like this pic.

Also, this news about Australia. And the Article 370 in India.

It's unsettling. What do you do? Ignore it? Escape it by drowning in the monotony of your life? Advocate the cause from the comforts of your home? And be satisfied with that?

Spreading the word itself is a good first step - building awareness. Despite following the news media avidly, I had never heard of the plight of the Hazaras. Thanks for sharing.
