So far so good!

It's been a week in Marseille. Here it is in 100 words.

- I have eaten more cheese in the first week of March than in the first two months of 2013.

- Although I have nothing to do the whole day, I go out to buy groceries at the same time every evening as I used to back in Bangalore.
- Body language is universal, more so among teenagers.
- The need to look good and fashionable starts early. Handsomeness and beauty are in the genes, not in the eyes of the beholder.
- There are more women smokers than men.
- The city feels bound to its history. It feels like people want to break free.

Software life ain't so soft

[I am going to write this post in 100 words, yet try and get the point across. (Inspired by Tanmay Vora.)]

The RJ today said techies in Bangalore have an easy life. From personal experience, I think not.

1. We don't speak Kannada. (Feel the pain?)
2. Wives are thought to be working to pass time.
3. Most of us work till 9 in the night and take 'support' calls at three in the night.
4. Same traffic, water problem, gas connection, phone issues. Add to this point 1.
5. Nothing we buy is any less expensive.

Moving to a new city is a choice but that doesn't mean it's an easy one. However, patience and a smile are known to work!
